Android Pay and Apple Pay
WashingtonFirst offers Android PayTM and Apple Pay®
You can use your WashingtonFirst Visa® debit card with Android Pay and Apple Pay.* Once registered on your devices, purchases can be made at retail stores, online, and in apps. Using Android Pay and Apple Pay is easier, faster, and more secure than using your plastic debit card. For more information on each service, see below.
To download app and register, select the Android Pay logo below and follow the instructions.
Once your WashingtonFirst Visa debit card is registered with Android Pay, purchases can be made at thousands of retail stores, online, and in apps. With Android Pay, your purchases become easier, safer, and more convenient. And it’s cool, too.
Android Pay is both easy to use and secure
Android Pay is as convenient as it is secure. Why? Because Android Pay never uses your actual WashingtonFirst Visa debit card number. Instead, it uses a virtual account number so your actual debit card number stays safe. To see a full list of stores accepting Android Pay, visit android.com/pay.
Getting started with Android Pay in three steps:
- Download the Android Pay app on your phone

Once you’re enrolled in Apple Pay, you can make purchases and check-out with the simple touch of a finger. Use Apple Pay in apps and at hundreds of thousands of stores nationwide using your iPhone®, iPad®, and Apple Watch®.
When you complete a transaction using your WashingtonFirst Visa debit card with Apple Pay:
- Your name, card number and security code remain private
- Your physical card is never given to anyone
- Apple doesn’t share your actual card numbers with retailers
- The retailer receives only a transaction-specific code to process your payment
Because the payment code can only be used once, your accounts are better protected against fraud.

Notice to WashingtonFirst Visa debit cardholders: WashingtonFirst recommends you select “credit” when paying with a debit card, because older merchant payment terminals may not always work successfully with debit cards in Apple Pay.
